This office, a 100,000-square-foot facility in Oklahoma City, serves
The Hartfords customer base throughout the Midwest. It employs nearly 700
service and customer care professionals who handle auto and homeowners
insurance sales and claims. The office has received several awards and
certifications for its outstanding customer service and continues to grow.
"Were thrilled to receive this honor," said Gunnar Hood, general
manager of The Hartfords Oklahoma City PLIC. "It takes great people to
deliver top quality service to our customers. Being named one of the Best
Places to Work in Oklahoma reinforces The Hartfords commitment to its
employees. We take pride in providing them with an environment where they
can grow and be challenged, both personally and professionally."
The Best Companies Group is known for establishing rankings of the
nations "Best Employers" and "Best Places to Work" in an effort to
spotlight companies that demonstrate workplace excellence. The project in
Oklahoma was dedicated to finding and recognizing the states best
employers, and encouraging more companies to measure, motivate and focus on
improving their workplace environments.
The selection process for Oklahoma was based on the results of internal
employee surveys. Winners were selected in two categories: medium-sized
companies of 25 to 199 employees and large-sized companies with more than
200 employees. The Hartford was recognized in this latter category.
The Best Companies Group partners with media and business organizations
to publicize its findings. In Oklahoma, the group is working with city and
state business publications -- OKCBusiness and Central Oklahomas Business
News -- to create a special commemorative magazine featuring the states
top companies. This publication will be released on May 15, 2006, and will
be available both in print and online.
The Hartford, a Fortune 100 company, is one of the nations largest
financial services and insurance companies, with 2005 revenues of $27.1
billion. The Hartford is a leading provider of investment products, life
insurance and group benefits; automobile and homeowners products; and
