Exclusive Conference for Privately Held Technology and Life Sciences
Companies With Revenues From $5 to $75 Million
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Aug. 15 // -- AeA, the nations
largest trade association with 2,500 member companies representing all
segments of the high-tech industry, announced today that Robert E. Grady,
managing partner of Carlyle Venture Partners, will participate as the
morning keynote speaker for AeAs Technology Capital Conference. The
conference will be held October 12, at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort &
Spa in Dana Point, California. New for 2006, the AeA Technology Capital
Conference offers an efficient one day forum for company executives and
investors to identify business opportunities by showcasing private
technology companies with $5M - $75M in revenues who are looking for
funding, opportunities for a merger, acquisition or strategic partnership.
The conference is open to both member and non-member companies.
"Our members are varied, coming from all areas of the high-tech
industry," said Tim Jemal, Executive Director, AeA Orange County Council.

Grady is managing partner for Carlyles U.S. venture operation, Carlyle
Venture Partners, and coordinator of Carlyles global venture capital group
which has more than $1.7 billion under management. Grady has a background
in high-tech investing having served as a managing director of Robert
Stephens, the San Francisco-based technology investment bank.
"AeA has been fostering relationships between venture capitalists and
its high-tech members for more than 30 years," said Grady. "I am proud to

Approximately 200 attendees are expected, including 40 presenting
companies seeking funding and opportunities for mergers, acquisitions or
strategic partnerships. Additionally, private equity investors, venture
capitalists, investment bankers and financial services providers are
expected to attend.
