Vernon, New Jersey Boasts Popular Resort Homeowner Destination
VERNON, N.J., Aug. 15 // -- Mountain Creek resort officially
opened The Appalachian, a condominium hotel, located slopeside at the
resort in Vernon, New Jersey. A Grand Opening event welcomed The
Appalachians first phase homeowners to their new mountain resort homes,
with the official ribbon cutting opening the building conducted by New
Jerseys Governor Jon Corzine and Intrawests Executive Vice President,
Lorne Bassel.
"The Appalachian is a fantastic resort hotel that we are proud to open
to both homeowners and the Vernon, New Jersey community. It is the result
of a multi-million dollar investment here that is a step towards bringing a
world class resort to Mountain Creek," said Jeff Patterson, Director of
Planning at Mountain Creek.
The Appalachian is now open to lodging guests, with significant
reservations already being taken for summer/fall 2006. The resort offers
numerous package programs which include lodging and outdoor activities such
as the Bed and Bikefest, Golf and Stay, Splash and Stay, the Romance
Package and a new fall package, Wreath Fineries and Wineries.
The Appalachian features a total of 177 vacation homes across the two
phases of the development. The 77 homes in the second and final phase are
expected to be complete in early fall. Designed in an Adirondack Grand
Hotel motif, The Appalachian has furnished studio, one- and two-bedroom
configurations. The property features the highly sought after ski-in,
ski-out access, underground parking, and a host of other amenities.
In addition to the sold-out Appalachian, Playground Destination
Properties Inc is selling the final stage of the popular Black Creek
Sanctuary neighborhood, consisting of one-, two- and three-bedroom condos
nestled in a serene, protected sanctuary in close proximity to the
mountain. Playground Destination Properties Inc., is the licensed broker
handling the real estate sales and marketing campaign for Mountain Creek.

than 1,000 lights on all 46 trails and the tubing lanes. The mountain has
North Americas only eight passenger open-air gondola and has also upgraded
its snowmaking capabilities with the most powerful snowmaking equipment in
the region for a longer ski season for winter enthusiasts.
