Veteran Executive and Investor Brings Years of Invaluable Experience in

announced today that Keyur Patel has joined as a Partner. He brings a
wealth of experience to the firm, having founded four innovative startups
and worked in top management positions at two leading global technology
corporations. Patel will focus on identifying extraordinary investment
opportunities and he will work with both new and existing portfolio
companies on cutting-edge ideas, technologies and strategies.

Patel is already hard at work. He recently led ComVentures investments

Prior to joining ComVentures, Patel served as the Head of Consumer
Products and Chief Strategy Officer at Maxtor Corporation. He was a key
creative force behind the Maxtor OneTouch(TM) family of external storage
solutions, which leads the industry in marketing innovation and global
market share. Prior to Maxtor, he led the turnaround at Inktomi,
transforming the company into a vibrant and profitable enterprise in
advance of its 2003 acquisition by Yahoo!. Patel also founded several
startups innovating in the areas of software and services, including
Brience, Metrius, Webvibe and Phoenix Software. These companies were
acquired and can all boast successful outcomes. Before that, Patel served
as Chief Strategy Officer of KPMG Consulting Worldwide and Managing Partner
of the Price Waterhouse Technology Consulting Practice.
Patel holds an M.S. in Computer Engineering and a B.S. in Computers and
Communication. He is the co-author of Digital Transformation, foreworded by
John Chambers.
