HEATHROW, Fla., Oct. 19 /-FirstCall/ -- Ruths Chris Steak
House Inc. (Nasdaq: RUTH) announced that Floridas Governor, Jeb Bush, has
appointed the restaurant companys Chief Executive Officer Craig S. Miller
to the Florida Tourism Commission.
Miller began his 40-plus year restaurant career at the Neptune Seafood
Restaurant in Rockledge, Florida in 1963. He has been involved with
operating restaurants within the state for over 25 years.
"The addition of new Ruths Chris Steak House restaurants in Bonita
Springs, Naples and Lake Mary within the next 3 months will bring our total
to 14 in the state ... the largest concentration of our restaurants in any
one state and, notably, a presence in every region of Florida. Tourism is
vital to the success of our business and the economy of the state. I look
forward to working with the Governor and the Tourism Commission in helping
to promote Florida and its hospitality and tourism business."
Miller is a member of the board of directors for the National
Restaurant Association and is the immediate past Chairman. Mr. Miller also
serves on the Board of Trustees of the UCF Foundation. Miller joined Ruths
Chris Steak House as CEO in 2004.
