ATLANTA, July 21 // -- Gary Hutchins has been named President
and Chief Executive Officer of 1st Medical Network (1st MN) in which
Consumers Life has majority ownership.

Hutchins will be responsible for the Sales, Customer Service and
Operations of 1st MNs organization, which will continue to be based in
Atlanta.
Joining Medical Mutual in 2005, Hutchins served as Regional Director of
Network Development.
Prior to joining the company, Hutchins served eight years in a dual
role as Vice President of Managed Care and Executive Director of the
Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) with Northeast Georgia Health System
in Gainesville, Ga. He also served on the Board of Directors of 1st MN.
Entering into a joint venture with Consumers Life in April, 1st MN is a
statewide provider network representing more than 15,000 physicians, 150
hospitals and serving more than 200,000 members throughout the state of
Georgia.
